Garudmaachi
2000 feet rock wall that houses more than 17 pairs of vultures, hawks and eagles being the backdrop, situated at the edge of the Western Ghats, Garudmachi is a purpose built outdoor campsite developed by High Places exclusively for conducting outdoor programmes. It is 75 km. from Pune and 140 km. from Mumbai, on the road connecting Kolad (on the Mumbai-Goa highway) and Pune.
Spread over an area of 19 acres, the site offers an ideal platform for conducting various outdoor and adventure activities, and also provides comfortable stay in luxury tents and billets. This is clearly one of the best sites for outdoor programmes, not just in Western Ghats, but in India.
The site has dedicated small rooms along with tents and billets with floor-seating arrangement, which can accommodate about 20 to 25 people, for conducting review sessions.
The huge dining hall, which can easily accommodate more than 50 people, can act as a large conference room too, if required. A 45 ft. rock-climbing tower is another highlight of the site. This site offers plentiful options for treks and campouts and also various adventure activities like climbing, rappelling and water based activities.
